I’m Veronica, a developer at EGT Digital in Sofia, working with C# and .NET. Alongside that I’m doing a master’s in cognitive science, because the people who use software interest me as much as the software does.

Veronica Kurteva

I’ve worked on factory floors, in data centres and with people living with dementia.

My work has taken me from data centre infrastructure and industrial software to backend development with .NET. Along the way, I’ve worked on APIs, database logic and bringing older applications into ASP.NET Core. Today I build backend services for EGT Digital’s gaming platform, owning features from design through to release.

My curiosity also led me to psychology. After a bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science and Psychology, I spent eight months as a psychologist intern at a rehabilitation hospital, supporting art therapy sessions. In 2025 I began a master’s in Cognitive Science at New Bulgarian University.
